Washu says that Tenchi just has a light heat stroke coupled with stress and fatigue, no doubt related to all the recent chaos around the house. She says Tenchi will be fine if he rests for about three days. Washu then forcibly shoves Ryoko, Ayeka and Mihoshi out of the room. Noike has a license as a nurse and is therefore going to be responsible for Tenchi's care. The other girls naturally protest.
Washu: Letting him rest in peace is best. What can the three of you do? Instead of whining like brats, go do what you can do. Now, DISPERSE! Ayeka, Ryoko and Mihoshi run off. Sasami applauds Washu's ability to intimidate and motivate the others. The two of them leave, trusting Tenchi to Noike.

Noike sits at Tenchi's bedside, pondering the weird vision she received the other day when she first met him. It seems to be from a nightmare she always has... Tenchi then wakes up. Noike tells him that Washu has ordered him to rest for three days and that the household chores will be taken care of. Tenchi still protests.
Noike: I hold a license as a nurse. I think that patients have an obligation to obey their doctor...
Tenchi: Uh...OK.
Noike asks Tenchi to change out of his work clothes and offers to help if need be. Tenchi says he can handle that part by himself!
Afterwards, Noike arranges the covers around him. Tenchi unwittingly gets a prime view of Noike's chest in the process and blushes furiously as a result. Seeing his red face, Noike thinks Tenchi might have a fever and leans in to check. She says it's not that bad and that he should call her if he needs anything.

Sasami and Ryo-Ohki are waiting for her at Tenchi's door. Ryo-Ohki was worried that Tenchi might be sick because of the carrot fields. Noike assures Ryo-Ohki that that isn't the case, and there's no need to worry. Both Sasami and Ryo-Ohki are relieved.
