My how the holidays do fly by. Even though I'm finally on vacation I've been wrapped up in a lot of holiday chaos. But there IS some new content this time. Wolfe's great Winamp skins are now available for download, so go get 'em! And the January MP3s are up now since it's practically the start of the new month. I'm in the process of doing a complete design overhaul for the site. Don't know how it'll look or when it will be done, but be sure to check back to see. 2003's going to be awesome! Happy Holidays, everyone! I'm still at school, muddling through final projecs, but I at least had time to make this place look more festive. More up to the minute news can still be found at the Message Board. You'll be pleased to know that our very own Wolfe has been working on Sasami/Tsunami Winamp skins that will be available for download here very soon! Wish him luck with this project, and wish me luck with my new Flash MX software when I finally get to play with it after the 19th! ^_^

No, I'm not dead, although I wouldn't blame anyone for thinking that. Good news though--my horrible semester is nearly over!!! I'll be through finals in about 2 1/2 weeks, and then I'll be on vacation with (hopefully) lots of free time to work on the site. There is light at the end of the tunnel, I swear! In the meantime, the new MP3s are up, and I'm trying to post semi-daily progress reports at the Message Board as well. I've got some good projects up my sleeve! Thank you for your patience.

I also added 24 new pics to the image gallery in an effort to make up for my lack of updates recently (I'm really sorry about that--blame all of my stupid homework and term papers). I have survived the most horrifying midterm of my entire college career! My brain still feels like it's on autopilot but I did manage to get the all important Halloween layout up. As for content, I finally added something new to the site. Check out the Movies section for a wonderful clip from OVA Episode 9 (a.k.a. "Sasami and Tsunami")! ^_^ Happy Halloween everyone!

Since Halloween is fast approaching, I dedicated the MP3s of the month to everyone's favorite villain Kagato. I apologize for the lack of updates recently, but I'm taking a very heavy courseload this semester and I barely have room to breathe let alone crunch HTML. In the meantime, enjoy the new songs, visit the Message Board, and whatever else floats your boat. I myself have some serious cramming to do...

Well, I'm back at school and barely functioning under the prssure of 18 credits. I haven't added anything new just yet, but I have a couple of important things to post. First, there's another incident of site theft to report. The old Sasaminess site apparently copied my Sasami profile word for word. I've recieved some sort of apology from the old webmaster, but the stolen info remains on the site. ;_; Not too sure how I'm supposed to feel...
The other thing is a note about the Message Board. It's been open for 3 weeks now and the population is still a bit...thin. However, that doesn't mean it isn't worth investigating. Don't forget to come check it out! ^_^

I go back to school Sunday, and since I'll be wrapped up in the chaos of moving, I decided to do the monthly stuff now rather than later. So the September MP3s are up, and I added 2 of Pretty Sammy's transformations to the Movies section. Ah, where did my summer go? Senior year (*Gack!*) commences!

My mysterious "pet project" is all done and here it is--a working Message Board!! I've wanted to do this for a really long time, and I think this site is finally generating enough regular traffic for it. Please read the TOS and all that other legal junk before you start posting. The month is winding down...unfortunately. This will be the last image gallery update for awhile, as I won't have time to toy with them after I return to school. Say hello to 36 new pics for your viewing pleasure. I'm also trying to get my stupid mySQL database working so that I can reveal my pet project to all of you before the end of the month. *Groan* This internet junk is so irritating! Oh wait...what is this "pet project" you ask? Ha! Wouldn't you like to know? If I tell you, you won't have to come back to find out, and I simply can't have that! :-)

Let's see...I fancied up the Sounds page to make it look nicer, I moved (and added to) the HTML Tutorials, since they didn't really fit in the Goodies Section, and I did a minor FAQ update, since I have now accepted the fate I must suffer in a few weeks. I don't think you'll have any trouble finding them! :-) Expect some other small tweaks within the next few days...maybe.

Two new movies added to the Movies section, both of them Pretty Sammy-themed. I'm working on reorganizing a few things here and there. Not quite sure how it will look when I'm done, but I guess we'll just have to wait and find out. I go back to school 3 weeks from today!!! How did the summer fly by so fast? I've been in complete denial of ever starting my senior year (sometimes I still feel like I'm 16...), but reality is slowly sinking in... *Gack!* I'm too young to be this old!

I put Wallpapers in the "Coming Soon" list of the goodies section about a year ago and I finally got sick of looking at it. So guess what? I got my butt in gear and have now opened that section with 6 lovely Sasami-ish wallpapers for you to choose from! I had a lot of fun making them, but they were also a lot of work! I hope you enjoy them! Rest assured that I'll be making more as time goes on.

Ick! Summer seems to be slipping through my fingers! Not good, not good!!! As promised, there are two MP3s for your downloading pleasure, as well as 8 brand new MIDIs. I'm not sure what's next--Wallpapers, Movies, Images--so much to choose from! Guess you'll just have to check back and find out! See ya!

I feel like I'm on some sort of super sugar rush (must be all the good news going on). I finally heard from my would-be "website theif", and as you can see, she fixed her profile (I might put up a full account of this matter in time). Happy day! :-D With that little incident cleared up, I can get back to the important stuff! I decided the other day that offering only one MP3 a month kinda sucks, so from now on, there will be two MP3s each month. I know it doesn't sound like much, but I simply don't have the space or bandwidth to lay out more without cutting something else. When there are dual language songs, I'll offer the same song in both languages for the month (of course, this is only possible if I actually have both versions myself). I'm planning on putting up "Talent for Love" (one of my faves) for August 1st, then we'll see how it goes from there. Stay tuned! :-)

Good news and bad. The good news is that I have a spankin' new computer which makes for one very happy webmaster!!! :-) The bad news is that it's taking me forever to get all my files and programs moved (not to mention adjust to all the new doodads...) so updates will take a backseat for a little while until everything's organized. I added 4 (or is it 2?) new MIDIs to tide you over for now. Never fear though--a happy webmaster is a productive webmaster!
Still no word from my website theif, although I know she's been getting my relentless e-mails. I'm not giving up until I hear from her and/or see a change in that profile!! If anyone else cares to send her a (polite please) e-mail about her amoral behavior, feel free. Though since she has 7 addresses, I wouldn't blame you if you think it's too much of a pain in the butt.

Something awful has happened. An evil little spore at FanFiction.net had the nerve to claim this site as her website!! I never thought I'd live to see someone infringing on my hard work. Click here to see this blatant act of thievery for yourself. I've sent a polite but firm e-mail to each of her 7 different addresses for the past 3 days, but so far have not recieved a response. If anyone out there knows this person, would you kindly ask her to remove my website from her profile and contact me? (*sob* I feel so violated!)

Hope everyone had a good holiday despite the heat. I think the dog days of summer came a little early this year (at least here in the east anyway)! I've got something really fun to announce: 2 brand new games for you to play! One is a simple memory match type game that most of you have probably played before, and the other is a nifty (and addictive) game called Moon Star. So go play to your heart's content, 'cause going outdoors is so overrated. :-P

Happy Independence Day! This is a virtually update-less update, unfortunately. My computer thought it would be fun to snack on my web files, so a couple of things I was working on have gone AWOL. New MP3 of the month, a festive patriotic backdrop, but not much else. Sorry about that. Check back after the 4th for some more things.

Movie update because "Love Stinks." That's right, folks. The notorious CN promo from 2000 is now available for your downloading pleasure. Even two years later, it still makes me laugh and I just had to put it up! OVA Opening #2 ("I'm a Pioneer") is also there, though it's kind of a crappy copy. I'll see if I can find a better one someday. Download, be merry, and think back to the good days when Toonami didn't have shows like Hamtaro adding to the abundance of crappy programming these days. *Sigh* They brought back Sailormoon--can't they bring back Tenchi too? :-(

Did you ever feel like the whole world is against you? May was one of those weird months where nothing went quite right. I had all this stuff ready to be added, but my webhost cut-off my FTP access because my credit card inexplicably didn't pay the bill! Argh! Thankfully, the site itself wasn't shutdown too! Anyway, with that mess finally cleared up, here's the lowdown--new MP3 of the month, 28 new pics in the gallery (300 total!), a slightly updated FAQ page, and a sort of revised Links section that's still under construction. Hopefully my next update will be a lot sooner!

WOOHOO! I am a free woman once again! No more school till the end of August! I'm practically climbing the walls in excitement. Happy Birthday!! It was one year ago today that the Sasami Sanctuary officially opened its doors to the world wide web. Now one year, two webhosts, almost 5000 hits and about 30 megabytes later, this site continues to entertain hundreds of Tenchi and Sasami fans every month. It's already grown beyond my wildest dreams, and I hope this is only the first of its many birthdays! As part of my month-long celebration, I'm pleased to announce that the Movies section is finally open! Download and enjoy. I would've done more for this, but the semester is winding down and I'm locked in a whirlwind of final projects and migraines. But suffering often feeds creativity, so there might be more on its way before April is over. Thank you all for a teriffic first year!

Back to blue basics. I'm not too sure if I'll get around to doing an Easter layout since graphics are a bit hard to find. I'm also swimming in work here at school. No new content this time, but don't despair--the next update is for April 5th, and I think we all know what that means! ^_^

I trust that everyone's enjoying the ad-free website? I know I sure am! The traffic here has been steadily increasing since the move (Bravenet's services are down so the counter is broken, but the site stats tell the truth! ^_^). I'm working on lots of new projects for this site, especially since I want to do something really cool to celebrate the Sanctuary's birthday on April 5th (I'm always open to suggestions).
Anyway, this is what's new: 24 new pics in the gallery, and by reader request, a few HTML tutorials (found in the Goodies section). They're still a bit rough, but I'll work on polishing them up as time passes. As always, there's more on the way.
P.S. I've recieved a lot of support from family and friends since the move to Midcatwmn.com (which I am quite happy about). Guestbook post #35 is from my real older sister, and #40 is from my bud "Chicken Butt." And for real embarrassment, my mom even signed it (#37)! If you have some free time, go read them and have a laugh at my expense. ^_^

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I unfortunately never got around to putting up holiday layouts for Christmas or Valentine's Day, but I now resolve to continue with these new looks. I hope you like all the "green-ness" around! This special layout will stay up until March 18th, and then I'll move onto a fresh, blue spring look.
So welcome to Midcatwmn.com, the website that took nearly six months to complete! But now that it's finally here, we can all sit back and relax for awhile and enjoy lots of new goodies! There are 28 new pics in the gallery, a couple of new backgrounds and puzzles in the Goodies section, and a new feature--"MP3 of the Month." It felt a bit gimmicky, but I need to conserve bandwidth. I also have some new, animated buttons that I made! Rest assured that with more space to work with and the Sanctuary's birthday coming up (!), there's lots of new things on the way. OK, here's the scoop. I've bumped into a couple of new snags in the moving project:

1. My supposed webhost(s) is being really pissy and disagreeable
2. I'm back at school taking a VERY heavy courseload (17 credits--what was I thinking?!!)
3. I'm broke because I had to spend almost $400 on textbooks (I kid you not!!)

It's a new year--a time for reflection and change. I must say that I'm pleased with how popular this site has become. It's surpassed my wildest dreams! Now with over 3400 hits on my counter and absolutely no space left in my account here at Geocities, I've had to make a tough choice about the future of The Sasami Sanctuary. Hence, I have decided to move this site to a new server so that it may continue to grow and entertain Sasami and Tenchi fans alike. I'm uploading files to the new server as you read this, and the move should be complete sometime next week. When I'm done, I'll set up a redirect from here. Happy New Year, everyone! 2002's going to be great! (and yes, this move is the "surprise" I started planning for in November! My only regret is that it took this long to get off the ground!)
