This is the house where I grew up and where my parents still live to this day. It's undergone several structural changes over the years, but it's always been a beautiful old house (originally built in the 1900s, I believe). I think part of me will always consider it my home. Good to know I'm always welcome to visit.
This is my sister and brother-in-law's house, which is where I currently reside. This house is freakin' HUGE! I rent out their basement, which has almost everything a person needs. All it needs is a kitchen! So it's almost like having my very own apartment! ^^
This is the main room in the Basement, and where I spend much of my time. It's very cozy, and it has room for all of the important things, like my TV and Nintendos and my computer. Most of the furniture is old stuff my parents had in storage, so the price was right! I love the paint scheme and the floor, and basically the only bad thing about this room is that it doesn't have any windows.
Before I moved in, there was a bar area here, and it was made of cheap wood panneling that was rotting out and smelled bad. So we tore it down with a sledgehammer and a saw. Eventually there will be sheetrock there covering the cement wall, but for now it remains in a bit of a disarray. But I don't really mind--the room's plenty big without this corner!
I currently have the nicest bathroom in the whole house because it's the only one that's been rennovated so far. (I should mention that this house is in major need of fixing up). It's even blue! ^^ I do have to share the washer and dryer with my landlords, but that's really about it. Everything else down here is all MINE! ^^
And lastly, this is my bedroom. The pictures make it look rather small, but in truth it's very spacious, much like the whole Basement. And it gets a lot of sun too, which is particularly nice. The door opens right out onto the patio, so I even have easy access to the swimming pool! ^^
The coolest thing about my room is this--a fireplace that takes up the whole wall! Awesome, huh? I never thought for a moment that I'd ever have a real mantle to decorate! It's pretty obvious that I like living in this place, isn't it? ^^;
